COUNSELOR'S CORNER

Hello Panther Family,

     My name is Latanya Ravenell, and I am the School Counselor at High Hills Elementary School. This is my 5th year as the school counselor at our “pawsome” school. I attended Limestone College for my bachelor’s degree, and then I earned my master’s degree from South Carolina State University. In my free time, I enjoy reading, doing word search puzzles, shopping, and doing DIY projects. My favorite foods are mac and cheese, pizza, and chocolate. My favorite color is pink.

      As your school counselor, I address the academic, personal/social, and developmental needs of all students by collaborating with students, parents, school staff, and the community. School Counselors do not provide mental health therapy but use brief, solution-focused counseling to address issues in the school setting.
